Just received an E-Mail from Aimaro at the 'Polaris' factory regarding an extra fuel tank for the FIB. Below is his E-Mail:

Looking at the picture of the propeller guard I posted in the "Propeller Guard" comment area, the guard only protects the sides and the front (engine side) of the propeller. Not the top ...

Question: Apart from the gash in the port pontoon caused by the propeller, was there another hole, tear or cut somewhere else in that pontoon?

Very curious to hear what the outcome will be of talk ...

I do hope the FIB was taken care of quickly after being recovered from the waters...
